Transport minister and Kirkuk governor discuss railway restoration
KIRKUK, January 10 — Transportation Minister Razzaq Muhaibis stated on Wednesday that the ministry will work to restore the “Kirkuk – Baghdad” railway line as quickly as possible to transport passengers, goods, raw materials, and minerals.
Statement:
Minister of Transportation Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadi, along with Governor of Kirkuk Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, visited the Kirkuk Railways Directorate. His Excellency affirmed that the railways file is a top priority for the ministry, emphasizing that the ministry will work diligently to restore the passenger and freight transport line (Kirkuk – Baghdad) as quickly as possible. He also highlighted the rehabilitation of the Fatha Bridge and the Al-Qanat Bridge, stating that the damage does not exceed 10%, making it possible to resume operations in record time.
