KRG delegation in Baghdad for talks

ERBIL, January 6– A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has arrived Baghdad, for talks on salaries, oil exports, and budget amendments.

Peshawa Hawramani, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Regional Government, told 964media that the talks extend beyond salaries and oil issues, with a significant focus on addressing budgetary amendments in collaboration with the Iraqi government. “We are seeking a conclusive resolution to these matters,” he affirmed.

The delegation includes Awat Sheikh Janab, Minister of Finance, Omid Sabah, Head of the Office of the Council of Ministers, Amanj Rahim, Secretary of the Council of Ministers, Abdulhakim Khasraw, Head of the Coordination and Monitoring Office and several advisors. This visit is the first to Baghdad since November 27, 2023.
