Duhok records 2.4 million visitors in 2023

DUHOK, December 30 — Officials in Duhok report that 2.4 million tourists visited various areas around the governorate over the last 11 months, representing a slight dip in numbers versus 2022.

Some 34,106 visitors were recorded in just five days spanning December 22 to 27.

Overall, this year’s figures reveal a slight dip compared to 2022, when the total tourist count reached 2.5 million.

According to the Duhok Tourism Directorate, the governate currently boasts approximately 900 licensed tourism venues and over 250 natural tourist sites.
