Musical tribute at Bakhdida church remembers the dead and celebrates life

BAKHDIDA, December 22 — The Church of Mar Behnam and Sarah in the town of Bakhdida in Nineveh governorate witnessed a poignant musical performance on Thursday by the Kanara Orchestra, including reflections on the Hamdaniya wedding tragedy in October and meditations on the birth of Christ andd spirit of Christmas.

Father Duraid Barbar, Conductor of the Kanara Orchestra shared, “The concert, showcasing Syriac-Aramaic liturgical music and Christmas meditations, also served as a tribute to the Hamdaniya tragedy victims. The Kanara Orchestra, known for its nationwide performances, dedicated this event to the memories of the deceased and as a gesture of love and solidarity with their families and friends.”
