Iraqi media and communications authority signs cybersecurity collaboration with Huawei

BAGHDAD, December 12 — The Media and Communications Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese technology company Huawei on Tuesday for the exchange of knowledge, training courses, and development in the field of cybersecurity for governmental entities in Iraq.

The Authority reselased a statement which said:

The President of the Media and Communications Authority, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei to enhance innovation and training in the field of cybersecurity.

The memorandum aims to increase interaction between the authority and Huawei to boost future collaboration, foster joint innovation, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge, training courses, and development in the field of cybersecurity for Iraqi government entities.

According to the MoU, Huawei will support the authority in cybersecurity based on the company’s experiences in this field and the exchange of shared expertise to systematically enhance the capabilities of employees and government officials.

It is noteworthy that the Media and Communications Authority is open to collaboration with all specialized IT companies to develop skills and enhance capabilities in the cybersecurity domain.
