BAGHDAD — Maysan, Basra and Dhi Qar are forecast at 49°C on Friday, with no governorate expected to reach 50°C for only the second time this month, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology said.

Skies will be clear across most of the country with some cloud in the north, particularly over the mountains. Temperatures will fall slightly in central Iraq and hold in the north and south.
