Iraqi men’s national football team returns to Baghdad after victory against Vietnam
BAGHDAD, November 22 — The Iraqi men’s national football team returned to Baghdad on Tuesday aboard Iraqi Airways’ newest aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, following their victory against Vietnam.
The Iraqi Football Association released a statement, which said, “The Lions of Mesopotamia head back on board the Iraqi Airways Dreamliner to the capital, Baghdad. after achieving a deserved victory over the Vietnamese national team. Thank you, Lions of Mesopotamia.”
Iraq defeated Vietnam 1 – 0 on Tuesday in an Asian World Cup qualifier match in Hanoi.
