Light rain and dust-raising winds expected in parts of Iraq on Friday

BAGHDAD — Central and northern Iraq will see clear skies with some cloud cover on Friday, while the south faces partly cloudy conditions with light rain or scattered drizzle in some areas, the General Authority for Meteorology said.

Temperatures will rise slightly in central and northern regions and remain near Thursday’s levels in the south. Northwesterly winds of 20–30 km/h will strengthen to up to 45 km/h in parts of central and southern areas, raising dust particularly in desert regions. Visibility will range from 8–10 km, dropping to 5–7 km in dusty conditions.
