Weather report
Mostly clear skies Saturday with scattered showers before temperatures drop next week
BAGHDAD — Most of Iraq will see clear to partly cloudy skies Saturday, with chances of light to moderate thundery showers limited to parts of the central and northern regions, the General Authority for Meteorology said.
Temperatures will remain close to Friday’s levels in the central and northern regions and rise slightly in the south. Southeasterly winds of 10–20 km/h will become variable and calm at times in the north. Visibility will range from 8–10 km, dropping to 5–7 km in the morning due to haze and higher pollutant concentrations.
Dust-raising winds are expected in western areas on Sunday alongside a gradual temperature rise, before a noticeable drop at the start of next week. Conditions are forecast to stabilize by midweek with clear skies and moderate temperatures.
