Rain to continue in northern Iraq through Monday

BAGHDAD — Rain will persist in parts of Iraq through Monday, with temperatures gradually rising across most regions, the General Authority for Meteorology said Thursday.

Friday will be partly to fully cloudy with light scattered rain showers, occasionally accompanied by thunder in northern areas, and a general temperature rise. Saturday will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rain in the north and parts of the south, with slight cooling in central and northern regions. Sunday will be mostly clear in central and southern areas, with northern regions remaining partly cloudy and a chance of light rain, temperatures holding steady. Monday will bring clear to partly cloudy conditions in the centre and south, while the north sees cloudy skies and light rain with possible thunder, temperatures stable.
