Rain and mountain snow forecast across parts of Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority forecast light to moderate rainfall across central and northern areas on Sunday, with snowfall expected in mountainous regions and light showers possible in parts of the south.
Temperatures will drop slightly in central and northern areas compared to Saturday, while the south may see a slight rise. Northwesterly winds of 20–30 kilometers per hour in central and southern regions may raise dust and sand at times. Visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers, dropping to 4–6 in areas affected by dust or heavier rain.
Conditions are expected to improve through the week, with clear skies forecast for Tuesday before cloud cover returns Wednesday and scattered showers possible again by Thursday across central and southern areas.
