Clear skies in central Iraq, light rain and dust forecast elsewhere

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s General Authority for Meteorology forecast stable weather Sunday, with cooler conditions in the morning and evening and a slight drop in temperatures in the central and southern regions.

According to a report from the authority’s forecasting department, the weather will be clear with some clouds in central and southern areas. The northern region will see partly cloudy skies, clearing at times, with a chance of light rain showers in eastern areas during the morning.

Light dust is expected in some parts of the southern region, gradually dissipating through the day.

Temperatures will fall by a few degrees compared with Saturday in central and southern regions, while remaining close to previous levels in the north.

Northwesterly winds will blow at 10 to 20 kph, while the northern region will experience mostly calm conditions.

Visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers, decreasing to between 4 and 6 kilometers in dusty areas.
