KRG says it will transfer October non-oil revenues as delayed payments from Baghdad persist
ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Finance said it will deposit 120 billion Iraqi dinars ($85.7 million) in non-oil revenue for October into the federal account at the Central Bank of Iraq’s Erbil branch on Monday, Dec. 22.
The announcement comes as public employees in the Kurdistan Region have yet to receive their October salaries, as delays in wage payments from the central government continue.
Transfers between Erbil and Baghdad resumed in mid-2025 under a renewed revenue-sharing agreement requiring the KRG to deliver 230,000 barrels of oil per day to federal authorities and remit 120 billion dinars in non-oil revenues. Oil exports restarted on Sept. 25 under a new arrangement placing operational control of sales with Iraq’s state oil marketer SOMO, following a lengthy shutdown of the Iraq–Turkey pipeline.
Public servants in the rest of Iraq have already received October and November salaries.
