Cool mornings, moderate daytime temperatures as stable weather continues in Iraq
BAGHDAD — Weather conditions across most of Iraq are expected to remain relatively stable on Sunday, with clear skies and scattered clouds in various areas, according to a report from the Meteorological Authority.
The report said cloud cover will increase in the northern region, especially the Kurdistan Region, during the night, resulting in partly cloudy skies at intervals. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday’s, with a slight drop in the central region.
Conditions will feel cool in the early morning and at night, and moderate during the day, with a sense of warmth in central and southern areas. Mountainous regions will remain the coldest.
Winds are forecast to blow from the northwest at light to moderate speeds of 10 to 20 kilometers per hour, becoming more active at times in the western parts of the central and northern regions. These winds may raise light to moderate dust, especially in desert areas.
Horizontal visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers but may drop to between 3 and 5 kilometers in dusty areas during the day, and to between 5 and 7 kilometers in the morning due to haze and air pollutants.
