Conditions turn cooler in central and southern Iraq
BAGHDAD — Temperatures in Iraq recorded a slight drop Saturday, particularly in central and southern regions, while remaining steady in the north, according to a report from the Iraqi Meteorological Authority.
The report said weather conditions across the country are clear with scattered clouds due to weak air currents associated with a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
Temperatures decreased by approximately 3 degrees Celsius in the central and southern regions. Nighttime and early morning conditions remain mild, while daytime temperatures are warm, with colder conditions over mountainous areas.
Winds are expected to be northwesterly, light to moderate, ranging between 10–20 km/h, raising some dust in certain areas.
Horizontal visibility is expected to decline in the morning due to dust and pollutants, ranging between 5–7 kilometers.
