Over 55 suspects arrested in Kirkuk security operations

KIRKUK — Police in Kirkuk announced the arrest of more than 55 suspects during security operations carried out over the past 24 hours across the governorate.

A statement from the provincial police said 42 of those arrested were wanted by Kirkuk courts on various charges.

In coordination with traffic police, security units also detained four violators, three intoxicated individuals, and one thief. Authorities registered 82 traffic violations and arrested six people involved in fights and disturbances.

Kirkuk police said the operations were aimed at strengthening security and stability throughout the governorate.
