Three killed, three injured in crash on Qoritan village road in Koya

ERBIL — Three people were killed and three others injured Sunday when a vehicle overturned on the Qoritan village road in Koya district, Erbil governorate, witnesses said.

Local resident Khalid Yasin told 964media the victims were traveling from Qoritan to Erbil hospital. “Sheikh Abdullah, who had been ill for several days, was being taken by his brother and two women, along with a man and a woman relative, when their car overturned,” Yasin said. “Sheikh Abdullah died instantly. Later, the man and woman also died at the hospital.”

He said the deceased were Sheikh Abdullah, 74; another man, 74; and a woman, 67.

Yasin added that the three injured passengers remain in unstable condition and are receiving care at Rojawa Emergency Hospital under medical supervision.
