Two killed in crash on Iraq’s border with Saudi Arabia
ERBIL — Two people were killed and two others injured when a vehicle carrying four passengers from Erbil to Saudi Arabia overturned near the border on Tuesday, relatives said.
The passengers were traveling in a Toyota Prado to perform Umrah when the accident occurred in Nukhayb, a town on the Iraq-Saudi border about eight hours from Erbil.
Ibrahim Abdulkarim, the son of one of the passengers, told 964media that his father was among those killed. “As we have been informed, one of the injured is in critical condition and has been transferred to Nukhayb Hospital,” he said.
