‘A vital social pillar’: Al-Sudani honors Iraqi tribes at Eid gathering
BAGHDAD — Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with senior tribal sheikhs and leaders from across Iraq on Sunday to mark Eid Al-Adha. During the meeting, Al-Sudani praised Iraq’s tribes as “a vital social pillar that contributed to the founding of the modern Iraqi state.” Addressing the gathered leaders, Al-Sudani highlighted the government’s priorities. “Today, in all fields of work, we are witnessing dedication and efforts to correct poor planning and mismanagement, returning to the right course,” he said.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani welcomed today, Sunday, a group of senior tribal sheikhs and leaders from across Iraq, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani extended his Eid greetings to all Iraqis and to the esteemed guests, offering prayers for Gaza and its people in hopes of an end to their suffering under brutal aggression. He praised Iraqi tribes as a vital social pillar that contributed to the founding of the modern Iraqi state.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the government has tackled the challenges with a clear strategy, addressing each file in alignment with the citizens’ priorities, which have been central to the government’s focus. Many issues, he noted, have been resolved within a comprehensive government vision.
