Al-Sudani, Iran’s Pezeshkian discuss ‘shared challenges’ in Eid call

BAGHDAD – Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received a phone call on Wednesday from Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two leaders exchanged Eid Al-Adha greetings. According to a statement from Al-Sudani’s media office, the conversation covered “bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them,” along with joint efforts to address shared challenges.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani received a phone call today, Wednesday, from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian. During the call, the two leaders exchanged best wishes on the occasion of the upcoming Eid al-Adha, expressing hopes that the holiday brings prosperity and stability to both countries and to the Arab and Islamic worlds.

The conversation also included discussions on bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, as well as joint efforts to address shared challenges. The two sides also reviewed the latest developments in the region and explored means to reinforce stability.
