BAGHDAD, October 14 — Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Mohammed Al-Halbousi met with the French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday to discuss advancing the Iraq-France strategic partnership agreement and international efforts to reduce tension and escalation in Gaza.

On Friday, Iraqi Speaker of Parliament, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the two countries, the strategic partnership agreement signed between the Iraqi government and France, and the necessity of advancing its steps to serve the interests of both friendly nations.

The meeting also discussed efforts for de-escalation in the region, with Al-Halbousi emphasizing the importance of friendly nations, including France, taking steps to reduce tension and escalation. Additionally, they highlighted the humanitarian aspects and the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip while emphasizing the need to open relief channels.
