Terror suspect arrested in Sulaymaniyah as three ISIS hideouts destroyed in Salah Al-Din
BAGHDAD — The Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of a suspected terrorist in Sulaymaniyah province and the destruction of three ISIS hideouts in Salah Al-Din governorate as part of ongoing operations against ISIS remnants.
The disputed territories, known for their ethnic diversity and mixed populations of Kurds, Arabs, and Turkmen, remain a hotspot for security challenges. ISIS operatives continue to exploit gaps in security to maintain a foothold in the region.

As part of ongoing coordination and cooperation between the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service and the Directorate of Operations of the Kurdistan Region’s Asayish, a terrorist was arrested in Sulaymaniyah governorate.
In coordination with the Sulaymaniyah Counter-Terrorism Regiment, airborne operations were conducted in the Palkana Mountain Range of Salahuddin Governorate’s Tuz Khurmatu district, resulting in the destruction of three caves and three hideouts containing materials prepared for detonation.
In a separate operation involving reconnaissance, surveillance, and ambushes in Salah Al-Din governorate, Tuz Khurmatu District, Zarka Village, three hideouts and caves were destroyed, and an abandoned vehicle was detonated.
In the Rutba Desert of Anbar governorate, our heroes managed to search, clear, and detonate several hideouts containing explosive materials.
The operations carried out by the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service continue to cleanse our land of the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs.
