Middle Euphrates Technical University organizes marathon to kick off academic year

NAJAF, October 9 — Middle Euphrates Techinical University organized a race on to start the new academic year on Sunday with 100 students running a four-kilometer track.

The runners were from various colleges and institutes in the university. The race started at Jaber ibn Hayyan Medical University and concluded at the Middle Euphrates Technical University’s headquarters.

Muthaffar Al-Zuhairi, President of Middle Euphrates Technical University, expressed satisfaction with the university’s annual marathon, now in its second year, and said he was pleased to see 100 students participating in the competition.

One of the winners, Mohammed Hussein, shared his experience, stating that it was his first time participating in a marathon, and that he managed his energy throughout the race, leading to his victory as he sprinted towards the finish line ahead of his competitors.
