President Rashid, Hadi Al-Amiri discuss ‘ways to strengthen the democratic process’ in Iraq

BAGHDAD – Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with Hadi Al-Amiri, secretary general of the Badr Organization, on Sunday in Baghdad to discuss the country’s political, security, and economic developments, as well as efforts to strengthen dialogue among political factions and improve federal-regional relations, according to a statement from Al-Amiri’s media office.

The Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri, received the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, at his office in Baghdad on Sunday.

During the meeting, the latest political, security, and economic developments at both domestic and international levels were discussed.

The discussion also addressed ways to strengthen the democratic process in the country by adopting the principle of constructive dialogue among all political parties, as well as the need to overcome obstacles to improving relations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government at various levels.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted the government’s efforts in the service sector, emphasizing the importance of supporting reconstruction initiatives and developing infrastructure to meet the aspirations of all citizens for a stable life, both economically and in terms of security.
