Iraqi PM and Supreme Judicial Council chief declare financial disclosures for 2025
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Federal Integrity Commission announced on Thursday that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Supreme Judicial Council President Faiq Zaidan have officially filed their financial disclosures for 2025, becoming the first officials to do so this year.
The commission said in a statement, “The Federal Integrity Commission confirms that the Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Faiq Zaidan, have submitted their financial disclosure forms for 2025, marking them as the first officials from the three branches of government to meet this obligation.”
The commission highlighted that Article 16 of the Integrity Commission Law No. 30 of 2011 specifies the individuals required to disclose their financial assets. These include the three presidencies of Iraq [the president, the prime minister, and the speaker of parliament], ministers, officials of equivalent rank, judges, public prosecutors, and others legally obligated to submit financial disclosures.
