Iraqi Culture Minister visits Paris embassy and attends UNESCO event

BAGHDAD, October 3 — Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani visited the Iraq Embassy in Paris on Monday as part of an official visit to the French Republic.

During the visit, he met with the Iraqi Ambassador to France, Dr. Wadih Batti Hanna, and other diplomatic staff.

Dr. Al-Badran emphasized the importance of activating the Cultural Attaché in the embassy and the Iraqi Cultural Center, highlighting their positive impact in enhancing the cultural identity of the Iraqi community in France and promoting Iraqi culture, civilization, and archaeological sites to Europeans.

Additionally, the Minister attended training sessions of the National Iraqi Musical Heritage Ensemble, led by Maestro Alaa Majid, Director-General of the Department of Musical Arts, and the renowned musician Nasir Shamma.

The ensemble participated in the Iraqi National Day celebration held at the UNESCO headquarters in the French capital.
