Najaf language center adds German and Persian to curriculum

NAJAF — The Stagers Language Center, located in the Al-Amir neighborhood of Najaf, has expanded its language offerings by introducing German and Persian courses alongside its existing English program. The center, which focuses on providing language instruction for the city’s youth, has added these new languages with the help of specialized instructors.

This year, the center is offering significant discounts of up to 90% to participants who win competitions during its open days. These events have attracted considerable interest in Najaf, providing a unique opportunity for residents to learn new languages at reduced costs.

Founded by a group of language graduates, the center aims to attract more learners interested in improving their language skills. The open days are a key component of this effort, offering free interactive sessions for both new and returning students.

Ali Mohammed, a German language instructor at the center, told 964media that his experience living in Germany for ten years has given him proficiency in the language. “We brought the German language to Najaf in an innovative way, where students can learn it through interactive lectures and new activities, which can benefit them in work or studies in Germany,” Mohammed said.

Zahraa Yasser, a trainee at the center, shared her experience: “My experience at the center was excellent. I learned English, which is essential both for academic and professional life. I also gained insights into different cultural aspects during my time at the center.”

Samah Majid, who oversees the training programs at the center, highlighted the success of the open day events. “Our open day is a free event featuring various lectures for both students and new arrivals. What sets this event apart is the introduction of new languages, such as German and Persian, due to the growing demand in Najaf. All our trainers are experts in their fields, and the open day has helped increase enrollment, benefiting everyone involved,” Majid said.
