Man arrested in Erbil for online gambling and promotion

ERBIL, September 21 — Erbil security forces have arrested a suspect accused of involvement in online gambling and its promotion, subsequently referring the individual to the judiciary.

A statement from Erbil Asayish read:

“Following information received and a detailed investigation regarding an Arab man named as M.M.J residing in Erbil, who was accused of engaging in online gambling activities (including dice, blackjack, and poker) from his residence; under the orders of Erbil Security Investigation Judge and as a result of a field operation conducted by the Economic Security Directorate, the suspect was apprehended, and all materials related to these activities were seized. The accused has been detained and referred to the court.”
