Koya school principal visits homes of 12th grade students to boost morale

KOYA — The principal and a team of teachers from Heviar High School for Boys in Erbil’s Koya district are visiting the homes of all their 12th grade students to uplift their spirits and provide encouragement as they prepare for their final standardized exams.

Schools throughout the Kurdistan Region are currently on a break to allow students studying in years 9 and 12 to focus on studying for their year-end education ministry standardized exams.

“We want our students to become exemplary figures and be recognized for their efforts. These visits are intended to provide emotional support and reassurance,” Principal Karokh Majid told 964media.

With less than a month remaining before the exams, the school’s staff are meeting with the parents of the students to offer guidance and advice, aiming to help the students prepare thoroughly for their exams.

Heviar High School for Boys has 107 12th grade students. So far, the principal and teachers have visited 85 homes. The parents have expressed their appreciation for this initiative, marking the first time such an event has taken place in Koya.
