Iraq’s central bank reports dollar sales exceeding $273 million

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced its foreign currency sales on Tuesday exceeded $273 million in one-day transactions at the official exchange rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

The bank’s data indicated that total domestic cash withdrawals amounted to $27.41 million. Meanwhile, the total for external transfers, including remittances and credits, reached nearly $245.9 million. This culminated in total sales amounting to over $273.3 million for the day.
