Sulaymaniyah Traffic Directorate employees to strike

SULAYMANIYAH — A Sulaymaniyah Traffic Directorate source told 964media that on the morning of Sunday, employees at the directorate have voiced their dissatisfaction over unpaid wages and have opted to strike.

The source indicated that most departments within the directorate have halted operations, and employees have gone home after alerting the administrative office.

Previously, on Jan. 28, 2024, employees at the Sulaymaniyah Traffic Directorate had also boycotted their work, resuming the next day.

It has been 45 days since Traffic Directorate employees were last paid.
