Anbar’s Al-Baghdadi water project nears completion

ANBAR — The Ministry of Construction and Housing’s General Directorate of Water announced the near completion of the Al-Baghdadi water project in Anbar governorate on Monday.

The project, nearing 99% completion, has a design capacity of 3,000 cubic meters of water per hour and was executed by an Iraqi team, according to a Ministry statement received by 964media. The statement emphasized the project’s contribution to expediting government program projects.

Electrical connections for the project have been completed through collaboration with relevant departments, the statement said, paving the way for its imminent inauguration. Final network connections will be coordinated with the Anbar Water Directorate.

The project, part of the Ministry’s investment plan, aims to address water scarcity in the Al-Baghdadi district and provide clean water to Al-Dolab, Al-Jabha, and surrounding villages. The Al-FAO Engineering General Company executed the project, with the Anbar Water Directorate designated as the beneficiary.
