Nasiriyah protestors block main roads with burning tires
NASIRIYAH – Dozens of residents from the Al-Sharqiya area in central Nasiriyah took to the streets on Friday, protesting the lack of basic services and demanding the government fulfill its promises. According to a 964media correspondent, the demonstrators expressed their frustration by setting tires on fire and blocking a major street in the area.
The protesters are calling for the provision of services and the implementation of government promises made to them. Although there is an ongoing road-improvement project in the area, the residents insist that services should not be limited to specific areas but should extend to all regions.
