BAGHDAD — Two individuals were arrested in Baghdad on Thursday for stealing women’s handbags that contained cash, mobile phones, and other personal items, according to the Ministry of Interior.

A statement from the ministry’s Baghdad Counter-Crime Directorate confirmed the arrests, which occurred in the Bab Al-Sheikh and Al-Amil districts. The stolen items also included personal documents, according to the release.
