Iraqi inventors shine at Kuwait fair securing 11 medals

NEWSROOM — Iraqi inventors showcased their talent and innovation at the recent 14th Kuwait International Invention Fair, bringing home an impressive haul of 11 medals. Facing competition from participants across 40 different countries, the Iraqi team secured five gold, two silver, and four bronze medals, demonstrating their prowess in various fields.

Tereza Reda Jassim, President of the Iraqi Association of Inventors and Innovators, expressed her pride in the team’s achievement, highlighting their perseverance despite ongoing global and regional challenges. Jassim praised the participating inventors, emphasizing the association’s commitment to fostering and supporting their efforts.

Among the gold medal recipients were Dr. Hanaa Saleh, Dr. Iyad Wajih, Dr. Basem Abdul Hussein (recently honored by UNESCO for Science), Dr. Jawad Kadhim, and Tahseen Hameed. Notably, Hameed’s invention received special recognition as the best in the Middle East.

Dr. Raed Jassim and Dr. Jalal Hassan secured silver medals for their innovations, while Dr. Halima Jaber, Dr. Najwa Mohammed, Dr. Abdul Haq Hadi, and Dr. Shaima Abdul Muttalib brought home bronze medals, further solidifying the Iraqi team’s success.
