Vendor’s colorful display of fruits and vegetables attracts customers in Basra

BASRA, August 12 — Ammar Yasser, the owner of a market stall, takes pride in showcasing his colorful variety of fruits and vegetables on Basra’s famed Bshar Street.

His emphasis on cleanliness and presentation techniques have not only boosted sales but also enabled him to market his products through social media platforms.

Yasser told 964: “Most shops in Basra’s market don’t pay much attention to the presentation of fruits and vegetables since it requires extra time and effort. I love my work and wanted to stand out, so I started arranging the fruits and vegetables in the shape of pyramids. This method was well-received by customers, leading to increased sales.”

“I then began sharing pictures of the market stall on social media platforms, and people started asking if I offer delivery services. So, I added a delivery service using my car.”

Customer Hassan Ahmed said: “With a first glance at Ammar’s fruits and vegetables, you can tell he is passionate about his work and takes pride in it. He pays attention to the smallest details, from the arrangement to the lighting of the place.”
