Hiwa hospital launches fundraising campaign for cancer patients

SULAYMANIYAH, January 15 – Hiwa Hospital in Sulaymaniyah has commenced a fundraising campaign aimed at supporting cancer patient treatment. The hospital is inviting community members to contribute through the Fast Pay service and mobile balance donations.

Dr. Yad Naqshbandi, the Director of Hiwa Hospital, made an announcement today regarding the campaign. He emphasized that the primary channel for donations would be the Fast Pay platform. Dr. Naqshbandi also mentioned alternative donation methods. “Additionally, assistance can be extended through the purchase of mobile phone cards and internet services,” he said.

The funds raised from this initiative will undergo rigorous financial management. A committee has been appointed to oversee the funds, ensuring transparency and accountability. The proceeds from the campaign are earmarked for the acquisition of vital medicines and medical equipment necessary for cancer treatment.

This fundraising initiative follows a previous effort by Hiwa Hospital, where two bank accounts were set up in August of the previous year for donations in dinars and dollars.
