Iraqi PM advisor criticizes Western actions in Yemen

Baghdad, January 9th – Fadi Al-Shamri, the political advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister, criticized Western involvement in the region, marking the first official Iraqi comment on the recent bombing in Yemen by American and British forces.

In a tweet, Al-Shamri stated,

While the West is supposed to work on repairing its disgrace with human and animal rights stories, which were undermined by its stance towards Israel’s war against Palestine and the children, women, and civilians of Gaza, here it is committing another folly by expanding the circle of conflict and increasing tensions in the region, while asking others to exercise restraint and reduce tension points and escalation.
