Cancer cases declines

Over 34,000 births reported in Kirkuk this year

KIRKUK, December 26– Over the last year, Kirkuk has welcomed the birth of more than 34,000 children, with 1,754,000 patients seeking medical attention, according to a statement from the Kirkuk Health Department.

The Department’s data unveils a decline in reported cancer cases, with 1,016 new cases documented this year, compared to 1,893 cases in 2022.

Additionally, health authorities have taken measures to dispose of 140,394 kilograms of expired food and 60,766 liters of expired drinks during this period.
