Sulaymaniyah officials discuss free healthcare for disabled persons

SULAYMANIYAH, August 2 – The Kurdistan region’s Ministry of Labor is in discussions to provide disabled citizens with free health services.

Officials from the Sulaymaniyah Health and Social Welfare and Development directorates are in talks to make health services in public hospitals free of charge for people with disabilities.

The proposal was put forth by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Development, in collaboration with the Union of Disabled Persons. A final decision is yet to be made.
