Medical teams provide free health services in Tal Afar
TAL AFAR, August 1 – A team of medical specialists provided free services to nearly 300 residents in Nineveh’s Tel Afar district on Monday.
The team spent hours evaluating patients with spinal and joint-related ailments using local health centers and mosques to treat male and female patients.
The initiative was previously extended to other governorates such as Diyala, Anbar, Salah al-Din, and Baghdad.
Osama Abdulaziz, a member of the medical team, said: “A specialized medical team headed by Dr. Riyad Al-Adadh, a specialist in joints, vertebrae and rheumatology, provided free treatment to more than 300 residents of Tal Afar district.”
“The services provided by the team included examination, dispensing of medicines, and referral. Three centers were designated to provide services: Al-Amal Health Center (morning), Al-Huda Mosque (afternoon), and Al-Noor Mosque (evening).”
“The initiative came in cooperation and coordination between the Tal Afar Health Sector and the Sunni Endowment Department, and was well received by citizens, especially those with limited income.”
