Clear skies for most of Iraq on Thursday with rain continuing in Kurdistan Region

BAGHDAD — Central and southern Iraq will see mostly clear skies with intermittent cloud cover on Thursday, while rain continues in the northern and northeastern parts of the Kurdistan Region, the General Authority for Meteorology said.

Light to moderate rain showers, occasionally accompanied by thunder, are expected in the north. Temperatures will rise slightly in central areas and by a few degrees in the north, remaining steady in the south. Northwesterly winds of 10–20 km/h will shift to variable and calm in western central areas. Visibility will range from 8–10 km, dropping to 5–7 km due to morning haze.
