Rain and thunder in Kurdistan Region Friday as temperatures rise across Iraq

BAGHDAD — The Kurdistan Region will see light to moderate rain with possible lightning and thunder on Friday, while central and southern Iraq remain partly cloudy, the General Authority for Meteorology said.

Temperatures will rise slightly nationwide under the influence of a warm air mass, with cool nights turning mild to warm through the day. South to southwesterly winds will reach 10 to 20 km/h, gusting to 45 km/h in parts of the central and northern regions and causing light to moderate dust in desert areas. Visibility will range between eight and 10 kilometers, dropping to four to six in dusty areas.
