Inclement conditions expected across Iraq with rain in several areas
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s General Authority for Meteorology said Wednesday that the country will experience inclement weather conditions.
The authority said the weather in central and southern regions will be partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at night with light to moderate rain showers, accompanied at times by thunder and lightning in parts of the south.
In northern areas, the weather will be mostly clear with some clouds that may increase at times, with chances of light rain.
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly compared with Tuesday in the central and southern regions and remain similar in the north. Conditions will be cold during night hours and moderate to cool during the day.
Winds will be light and variable, with speeds ranging between 5 and 10 kilometers per hour, occasionally shifting to the northeast.
Horizontal visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers but may decrease in the morning to between 5 and 7 kilometers due to haze.
