Family in Sharazoor appeals for help finding missing teenage sisters
SHARAZOOR — Two sisters aged 13 and 16 have been missing for five days after leaving their home in Sharazoor district, south of Sulaymaniyah, their family said Saturday.
The girls’ father, Ala Zia Saleh, told 964media: “My daughters, Zahra and Khadija, aged 13 and 16, left the house five days ago, and despite extensive searching, we still have no information about them.”
Saleh said the night before the girls left, their mother had been upset with them “over a simple matter,” which he said may be linked to their departure.
The family, originally from Salah al-Din, has lived in Sharazoor for eight years and has six other children.
Saleh said they informed security forces in Sharazoor and Sulaymaniyah and continue to seek information. “We are trying to find them, but so far there is no news, and their mother and I, along with the entire family, are worried,” he said.
The family shared photos of the girls and consented to their publication to gather information from the public.
