Cloudy skies and scattered showers expected across Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraq is expected to experience partly to fully cloudy skies Thursday, with chances of light to moderate rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms in various regions, according to a forecast issued by the General Authority for Meteorology.
The report noted light to moderate snowfall is expected over Kurdistan Region highlands, including lower areas in Sulaymaniyah.
Temperatures will slightly decrease in central and southern regions, while northern areas will see no significant change compared to the previous day.
Winds are forecast to be light to moderate northwesterly, ranging between 10 to 20 km/h, with occasional slight activity and calm conditions in northern parts.
Horizontal visibility is expected to range from 8 to 10 kilometers but may decline to between 5 and 7 kilometers due to haze. In areas affected by fog, visibility could drop to less than 1 kilometer.
