Communications minister orders urgent internet support for Baghdad mental health hospital
BAGHDAD — Communications Minister Hiyam al-Yasiri on Saturday ordered urgent support for Al-Rashad Psychiatric Hospital, including the provision of continuous and high-speed internet services, according to a statement from the Ministry of Communications.
The ministry said that, “under direct instructions from Communications Minister Dr. Engineer Hiyam al-Yasiri, the competent authorities affiliated with the General Company for Communications and Informatics immediately moved to provide technical and technological support to Al-Rashad Psychiatric Hospital.”
The statement said the step aims to strengthen the hospital’s capabilities and facilitate the work of its administration and medical staff, “in a way that contributes to improving the quality of care and services provided to inpatients and ensuring the smooth workflow within its various departments.”
It added that technical teams were instructed “to provide all required forms of assistance to the hospital’s management and to work on providing internet packages with speeds and capacities that match daily operational needs, in support of the public interest and to advance digital transformation in health institutions.”
