Mild weather across Iraq with light rain expected in northern regions

NEWSROOM — Most parts of Iraq will see clear to partly cloudy skies on Thursday, while light rain and occasional thunderstorms are expected in some northern and mountainous areas, according to the national meteorological authority.

The report noted that cloud cover may increase periodically in the northern and southern regions, with light scattered showers possible in some areas.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius compared with the previous day, remaining cool in the morning and at night, moderate during the day, and cold in mountain zones.

Winds will be light and variable, ranging from 5 to 10 kilometers per hour, with calm intervals. Horizontal visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers, decreasing to 2 to 4 kilometers in the morning due to haze and elevated air pollution.
