Conditions remain clear, temperatures rise again across Iraq
BAGHDAD – Iraq’s Meteorological Authority said Sunday’s weather will remain clear and stable under the continued influence of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, with slight temperature increases expected across most regions.
Skies will be mostly clear, with scattered high clouds appearing at times in northern and western governorates, according to the authority’s report.
Temperatures are forecast to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius compared with Saturday, remaining mild in the early morning and at night and relatively hot during the day.
Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate at speeds between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour, occasionally strengthening during the day and stirring light to moderate dust in parts of southern Nineveh and Anbar, particularly in desert areas.
Horizontal visibility is expected to range from 8 to 10 kilometers, dropping to 5–7 kilometers in dusty areas before improving at night.
