Iraq’s PM Al-Sudani, UK ambassador discuss strengthening Iraq-Britain ties, Gaza war
BAGHDAD — Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met Sunday with British Ambassador to Iraq Irfan Siddiq to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, his media office said.
The statement said the talks focused on strengthening relations “across various sectors, particularly in economic, investment, and development areas, in ways that serve shared interests.”
The meeting also addressed the war in Gaza, underscoring “the importance of halting the ongoing war, pressing for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians, and stressing the need to respect state sovereignty and international law.”

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Sunday, with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Irfan Siddiq.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for strengthening and expanding them across various sectors, particularly in economic, investment, and development areas, in ways that serve shared interests.
The discussions also addressed regional developments, highlighting the importance of halting the ongoing war in Gaza, pressing for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians, and stressing the need to respect state sovereignty and international law, while rejecting the acts of aggression committed by the occupying forces, most recently the attack on the State of Qatar.
